Zumba class: dance and cardio. Each instructor has his/her own style. There are many things that can happen when you are in a Zumba class, such as meeting new people and enjoying to your heart’s content.

One hour of your time is worth it. By building friendships with not only with fellow students but the Zumba instructors. At the end of the hour, we find ourselves exchanging numbers, talk about life and many things. And, there goes the friendship you have created after an hour.

For some people with introverted personalities, you may be cut out to work alone. As introverts, we might sign up for it. But, as we try it out, our hidden personalities are exposed. Therefore, we became open in many ways. Don’t think of it as a bad thing. Many people would like to get to know you better. There, we create friendships.

Before signing up, we have a lot of doubts. Trust me, before I came to this class, I too had doubts running through my head. As soon as you come in, they welcome you. No one will judge you. No one cares what you are. After some time, I came to love it. I learn many things about the people around me. It opened my eyes to many things to enjoy to your heart’s content. I became open and made many new friends.

Zumba is also a way to meet and connect with people. That’s what I learn. While improving dance moves and losing pounds, you gain friendships. Try it out. It makes you sweat, but its fun and euphoric.

Is working out not your style? From the beat of the music and the busted moves to changing lives: get it all from Zumba Fitness. Born in the ‘90s by accident, Zumba Fitness has portrayed to be a workout activity as well as a hobby combined with fast and slow moves and resistance training. We can see Zumba as a way of bonding and meeting others as well as enjoying music and getting into shape. As to how it benefits in regard to health, let’s find out together.

While enjoying the beat of the music, we become one with the music as we dance our way through the floor. Moving to the groove as we burn calories, the high intensity of the cardiovascular exercise can burn up to 1000 calories per hour. Cardiovascular exercises will increase muscle mass and strengthen the body. Exercise while dancing will have us burning calories and closer to a healthier and more fit physique.

Zumba Fitness also improves mood. As we move, our body releases endorphins which triggers positive feelings and reduces pain perception, otherwise known as happy hormones. The upbeat music helps pick up your mood even if you don’t begin class in the best of moods. When that happens, our confidence and self-esteem boost and anxiety levels reduce as well.

Studies show that exercise is one of the ways to fight depression because it releases large amounts of endorphins in the system. Aside from that, it can be an amazing stress reliever. When your body is free from stress, you have an easier time getting to sleep. Use this time to restore yourself from daily wear and melt away the calories while you lose yourself to the beat.

No dance experience is needed. In fact, everyone is welcome. As we grow old, our coordination slowly deteriorates. Coordination and balance is very important as well. When you have good coordination, you can get things done quicker and move around easier. The quick moves enhance your reflexes and assists with hand-to-eye coordination. Quicker reflexes enhance your body’s general speed and ability to focus. Reflexes are your body’s protection component.

Aside from those, a strong immune system helps us fight off diseases. A daily dose of exercises can improve our health and boost immunity. As we begin to feel the burn, our blood pumps immune fighting cells to necessary areas which improves our ability to fight off illnesses.

8 REASONS EVERY COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOULD DO ZUMBA

As the start of the college school year, a new beginning awaits behind the gates. If you’re thinking that college will just be like high school. Then, you’re wrong. Being a freshman certainly has its ups and downs. We get to meet new people, learn a lot, and laugh with friends.

As the start of the college school year, a new beginning awaits behind the gates. If you’re thinking that college will just be like high school. Then, you’re wrong. Being a freshman certainly has its ups and downs. We get to meet new people, learn a lot, and laugh with friends. In hard times, we do everything just to pass.
Attending classes, meeting the deadline, group projects, as hectic as it is, we won’t be able to watch our health. Flabs, mood swings, eye bags, what else could there be in store? Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to scare you.
There are also positive sides of the college life. I walk around looking for something to pass the time and release the negative vibes I am feeling. In amidst of my thinking and wandering, I saw Zumba advertisements on a building and decided to try it out.

Here are the reasons why you, fellow students, should try Zumba:
• Burn out calories
As we dance to the beat, the fats dance away. 600-1000 calories will be burned when a person attends Zumba class. Everything can happens so fast that you won’t even see it coming. Those flabs have got to go.
• Boost up confidence
As we move those hips, a sense of relief washes through us where we forget what we are stressing about. I love being on the Zumba. No one is going to judge whether we suck or not. Shake that booty and make it.

• Meet new people
Okay, I have mentioned that we get to meet new people at college years. But, the community is large. We get to see people and think that, “Hey, I think I have seen him/her in Zumba classes.” What are the odds?

• Improve coordination
Getting to release all the things that stops us is one of the best feelings ever. While we are young, better to not let our coordination fail us.

• Improves our mood
Let’s face it. There are frustrations, competitions and intimidations happening around the campus, especially if you are part of the honors list. As we release endorphins, we eliminate stress. We say goodbye to negative sides and hello to positive feelings.

• Energy level
The energy bar just rises up. I am amazed at how my endurance just improved. I get to endure longer and still remain a cool head. Building up our endurance is a good thing because that way, we can last longer throughout the day.

• Dance moves
Ever had that feeling that you don’t want to dance in parties because you are too shy of your dance moves. Don’t worry. You are not alone. You will be able to demonstrate your moves without feeling awkward. There, we will rock the dance floor.

• It’s fun
I get to be with my fellow classmates in Zumba Dance classes. We get to meet, greet and smile at one another. We just let loose and beat it until we make it.

6 TIPS FOR AN AWESOME ZUMBA CLASS – MyZumbaBody.com

Love Zumba? Of course you do! It has gained so much popularity that you can find a class at most gyms. Whether you’ve been at the Zumba party for years or you’ve just started, these six tips will help make the most of your Zumba workout!

Love Zumba? Of course you do! It has gained so much popularity that you can find a class at most gyms. Whether you’ve been at the Zumba party for years or you’ve just started, these six tips will help make the most of your Zumba workout!

  • Choose the right gear:- Your comfort and safety should come first. Do not choose a shoe based on its cuteness factor, but opt for the ones you need. If dance-fitness is your thing, make sure to invest in a stability shoe. Zumba includes a lot of lateral movements that’s why you will need to wear shoes that support that. Pick a shoe with low tread for easier sliding and pivoting. Women should invest in a good quality sports bra while men should consider athletic support. Doing this might save you from awkward or painful mishaps in the future.

  • Let Loose:-  Zumba is hard to do if you’re stiff or self-conscious! Burning more calories can be best achieved if you let yourself have fun and de-stress. Express yourself. Dance like no one is watching- just lose yourself in the invigorating music and fun moves. Let go. Forget the stress you’ve accumulated the whole day and enjoy this special “me time.” Just do everything naturally and laugh a little more. Try not to mind anything about work for now. Leave your phone in your bag, if possible, so you can fully engage.

  • Stretch it out:- Stretching is vital after any workout as it reduce next day soreness and increase flexibility. An additional 5-10 minutes stretch before and after your class can help decrease the risk of injury.

  • Hydrate:- Drink plenty of water. It’s important to hydrate before, after and during a workout as it regulates your body temperature and lubricates your joints. Zumba is an intense cardio workout so you should expect a lot of sweating going on. You might experience dizziness if you don’t have adequate water in your body.

  • Bring a friend:- Sometimes people who are newer to the experience may be a little shy. If you feel intimidated going alone to attend your first Zumba class, consider tugging a friend or a co-worker to get in on the fitness action. A Zumba class is also a great place to make new friends- enhance your Zumba experience by getting to know the people in your class. Offer to teach them with any of the steps after class. Make the whole experience memorable by sharing your passion for Zumba.

  • Don’t overdo it:- Find a schedule that works for you and stick to it. Be sure to keep in mind that your body needs to rest. Muscles need time for recovery, so make sure you aren’t overdoing it. Listen to your body. Consider visiting your doctor for a check-up before starting this intense cardio workout. Also, don’t forget to tell the instructor if you have any medical problems they should be aware of (especially heart problems).
